Angela's Birthday

This is how Lev Showmea celebrated Angela's birthday! The students did a great job of surprising their teacher, with a beautiful set up of candles, balloons and posters.

Ah! And there were sparklers too!

Mark was very good at cleanup. I think he had fun.

The sparklers burnt out.

We then had a delicious meal, along with adorable rice cakes shaped as different characters. The talented Jen and kids made the cakes: Hopang Man, Bowwow, Spongebob and Hello Kitty!

The students compiled a book of lovely birthday letters and cards. The kids are so sweet!

Angela : I feel extremely grateful to be teaching the students of Lev Showmea. You are wonderful and I wish you all the best. Thank you for such a great birthday! ♡

We will cherish our memories of our adventure in America.

We went to Boston, New York, Washington D.C, Orlando, Atlanta and Canada. The most impressive city was New York to me. The first reason is we stayed in New York for a long time. Second, we visited many famous places and we had many experiences there. We visited the top of Empire State Building and Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center's GE building). It was very high. We saw many things in nice views, but it was so cold and my fingers were frozen. We went to Times Square. It was so nice. We could see Seoul, Samsung and LG's advertisements, and we saw the bibimbap advertisement there. It was so nice and fun. That bibimbap advertisement was made by 무한도전 (Mohandojeon). Our trip was so fun. I think I will remember this trip forever.

I went to U.S.A. When I went to CNN, I felt it was a busy and exciting place. I could see many machines when CNN broadcasted, and I saw live news. I remember the World of Coca-Cola's Happiness Factory and 4-D movie theater. I drank many sodas, lemonades and iced teas, so I felt full. Also, I received a free bottle of Coca Cola. I remember Sony Plaza, Nintendo World and Samsung Plaza. I played Playstations at Sony Plaza, Nintendoes and Wii at Nintendo World, and at Samsung Plaza, I played games with Galaxy X and tab. I had such a great time.

I went to U.S.A. The most impressive city was New York City. The first reason is that New York City is very beautiful. Second, New York City is very huge and has high buildings. Third, there is the Sony Plaza in Manhattan, because in Sony Plaza, I played some games. I played games at Toys 'R' Us, too. Forth, the Empire State Building is in New York City. The building is very high and huge, and it has good views. I saw all of New York City. I like the Empire State Building. Times Square has many LCD boards. They are very big, too. I want to watch TV with those. In Times Square there were many people and a lot of food. In New Year's Day you should come to visit NY to catch "the falling balloons." Welcome to America.

I went to the U.S.A. I met many people and went to many famous places. It was exciting and it gave me good memories, especially when I went to Boston again. It was the guided tour trip. We woke up early and went to the meeting place, we got on the bus and I slept a long time, because the guide's explanation was so boring. When I woke up, the bus arrived at the University of Yale. In the university I saw three statues, then we went back to the bus and I slept again. I think the first day was just if I get on the bus, then sleep, I arrived at some place. We looked around and played, and got on the bus, again, slept and did the same thing over again. It was like a replay, because I already saw almost all places in Boston. I didn't see Yale University and MIT, so we went to Boston again. On the morning of the second day, I went to Harvard University, MIT and many places. When I stayed in the bus, I had a mission and I planned to talk with a woman.  She was sitting in the seat in front of me. I began to talk to her and explained about the Freedom Trail and gave her an extra map. I got to know her name and her name is Alia. She is pretty, has big eyes and is kind, so I like her. She left a comment on our blog! I was so happy about that and want to say thanks. I want to meet Alia again.

I went to the U.S.A. with my academy teachers and friends. On the last day, we were in Atlanta We went to CNN Studio, the World of Coca-Cola, Stone Mountain and met Joshua. First, we went to CNN Studio. It was so big and there were many people. We did the "inside CNN tour." We saw people work and film real news. Next, we went to the World of Coca-Cola. We saw a 3-D show and went inside. There were many drink samples and we could drink them. We didn't see it, but there was a Coca-Cola bear! I want to see it. When we came out from the museum, we took one bottle of Coca-Cola. The bottle was free! At the Coca-Cola souvenir shop, we bought many things. I bought many things, too! After that, we went to Stone Mountain. We met Joshua there. Her Korean name is 'Se-a,' so when we saw her, we called her Korean name and waved. She, her brother and her mom did a guide for us and we went home and ate dinner together. We talked about our travels and our images. Joshua and her brother, Justin, changed a little, but they looked good. After dinner, we gave some presents and they went home. On the next day, we left Atlanta and came back to Korea. We had a good time here. It will be our good experience to remember.

Atlanta, Georgia, Day 56 & 57

CNN Studio,  The World of Coca Cola, Centennial Olympic Park, Stone Mountain

Atlanta, GA ( Our house )

CNN Studio
We went to the CNN Center.
It was very big and nice.

This is the main CNN headquarters based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Inside CNN's headquarters, we took a tour of the studios
and saw many producers and news broadcasters at work.

The World of  Coca Cola

It is the World of Coca Cola.
We can drink Coca Cola here!

The World of  Coca Cola gave us insight on the history of Coca Cola.

These were characters in Coca Cola's newest ad campaign,
the Happiness Factory.

We had the opportunity to taste over 60 different beverages
from different countries at the Taste it! Beverage Lounge.

In Search of the Secret Formula was in "4-D".

The movie was in 3-D but there was some movement
in our seats that made the movie more exciting.

At the Taste It! Beverage Lounge, we were able to freely taste
different drinks from around the world.
We left Coca Cola full and satisfied.

The trash can looks like a Coca Cola bottle.
It is a new idea.

It looks like a factory.
We can take one Coca Cola from here.

Coca Cola bottles may be produced this way.
Coca Cola bottles are hanging above me.

Centennial Olympic Park

We walked through the Centennial Olympic Park,
 located in downtown Atlanta.

Stone Mountain

Joshua and Justin joined us at Stone Mountain.
We were so happy to see them.
